A certified nursing assistant, or CNA, helps patients with activities of daily living and other healthcare needs. Personal care assistants, also known as caregivers, home health or personal care aides, give assistance to people who are sick, injured, mentally or physically disabled, or the elderly and fragile. They work in the home and help their clients with daily activities, such as bathing and bathroom functions, feeding, grooming, taking medication, and some housework.

A certified peer support specialist, also known as a certified peer specialist, is a
person with significant life-altering experience. These specialists support individuals with struggles pertaining to mental health, psychological trauma or substance use.

a graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a human service field and has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated MH/DD/SAS experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
